A letter to you
Type B metamorphosis and Fungus caterpillars are my creation. When I look at plants and insects, I cannot help but imagine that it occurs somewhere in the world.
However, it won’t surprise me if someone tells me that there is nowhere in the world I could fine the Type B metamorphosis. It doesn’t exist.
Type B metamorphosis is a imaginary creature that two ordinal life mushed together artificially in my mind. If a plant grows butterflies as its flower or eggs as its fruit, it is insane.
However, so many crazy things are happening in the nature, at least I feel that way.
Have you ever been surprised by touching a bug when you grab a tree branch without noticing a bug on the tree? You may wondered how two completely different species have such a similar color and pattern?
How have a little non-thinking creature developed mimicry to protect themselves. How? Without eyes or a brain like us, a butterfly “thought” of imitating a poisonous butterfly so that no bird will eat them?? We know even these creatures don’t think like we do. Still, I cannot stop wondering how it happened.
I understand that the evolution didn’t happen overnight. Taking a long time, a life evolved to another life a little by little. It may not be by design, probably by accident or just a luck.
The evolution is such a strange notion to me. It makes a perfect sense when I think of it, but watching nature doesn’t tell me the same story. Perhaps we are in the present time and never have a real feeling of time passing, especially such a long, long time.
I hope you enjoy these strange creature as I do.
When you see the nature for the next time - I mean it doesn’t need to be a jungle or magnificent view, I meant that it is more like a nature in your backyard or a vegetable you are going to cook for dinner - I wish the nature has a slight different reflection onto your mind - just a little bit.
