Actually, we are donating to Tohoku earthquack and tunami victims!
75¢ from each card purchase will be donated. When it reaches to $2500, the money will be handed to Tohoku earthquake and tsunami victim farmers.
Why I wait to reach my goal?
Of course, a quick donation is the best to any kind of victims. Right after the earthquake, as same as many people, I donated to the big organization, such as red cross and state governments. I believe it helped greatly. However, the damage is too big to cover everyone, and still so many people are struggling to have their ordinary life back.
At first, I didn't know what to do, but one day my friend suggested to create something with my works and sell them. I have been asked several times if I sell cards with my paintings. I didn't have courage to create cards before, but this was also a good chance to promote and spread my paintings to the world! A friend of mine who is a wonderful designer helped me to design the cards.
Since we were wondering about how the donation money was spent, I would like to choose an individual who needs to replace destroyed his/her field, or a project to help farmland recovery, such as cotton flower project. (Cotton absorb the salt from the field and help the soil once soaked in sea water.) Doing so, at least the donation money should have certain amount to make my goal clear.
I really appreciate my friends who helped me out ( actually, are still helping me!) Without my friends, I cannot do anything, so thank you, my friends!
